Trek Fetch+: Trek’s first cargo bikes – a first look
Trek is introducing two brand-new e-cargo bikes under the name Trek Fetch+, each with a completely different concept. While the Fetch+ 4 uses the familiar front-wheel box design, the Fetch+ 2 features a long rear rack. You can find all the important information about these two Trek cargo bikes in our blog post.
Cargo bike from Trek?
E-cargo bikes have become an indispensable part of the modern cityscape. Whether used for mail delivery, transporting groceries or crates of drinks, or even for taking children to school or daycare, cargo bikes are more in demand than ever. It’s no wonder, then, that Trek is now launching its own version of this wire-frame workhorse. But what can these two cargo bikes from the American company do? The two bikes share several features, including:

- Hydraulic 4-piston brakes
- Bosch LED handlebar remote control
- Bosch Smart System compatible
- Controller: Bosch BSP3200 Smartphone Holder
Both the Trek Fetch+ 2 and Fetch+ 4 are fully smartphone compatible and can be paired with the Bosch eBike Connect app . This allows you to view range and battery level, plan and record routes, and customize the bike to your individual preferences.
Upon closer inspection, one of the differences between the two models immediately becomes apparent: While the Fetch+ 4 has a classic box located directly behind the front wheel, the Fetch+ 2 is equipped with a long rear rack. This allows the Fetch+ 4 to transport up to 5 children (250 kg total load), and the Fetch+ 2 up to 2 children (200 kg total load). The wheel sizes also differ: The Fetch+ 2 rolls on two 20-inch wheels, while the Fetch+ 4 uses a 27.5-inch rear wheel. Differences can also be seen in the drivetrain: The + 2 is chain-driven and shifted, while the + 4 is belt-driven and has an internal hub gear system.
